Using a Lightning Adapter with an older iDevice and Inner Balance

Nov 15, 2016

iPhone 5's (and beyond) use a 5 pin Apple Lightning connector for charging and data transfer.
The original HeartMath Inner Balance Connector is designed for a 30 pin connection.
(Please Note that this type of sensor connector is discontinued and no longer available from HeartMath.com)

You may only use an approved Apple Lightning Adapter for the 30 pin connection to connect your HeartMath Inner Balance Connector. Any other brand of Lightning adapter may only charge your device and not allow the data transfer.
Make sure that everything is seated together well before you activate your device.

The Inner Balance app and 30 Pin sensor are compatible with:

iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, 5*; iPad 1, 2, 3, 4*, and Mini*; iPod Touch 3, 4, and 5*
* indicates the latest generation iOS devices that require the Apple Lightning to 30-Pin Adapter.

All iOS devices currently being sold by Apple – require the Lightning adapter or the HeartMath Inner Balance Lightning Sensor Connector which doesn't need an adapter.

The Lightning adapter is available from Apple, Amazon, Staples, Target, Walmart, Fry’s, Radio Shack, and other outlets.
