“The Add Heart Podcast has been like a lifeline to me in these challenging times. Alone, it was taking me longer to get coherent and I felt wobbly during the day. When we join together in a Heart Centered Meditation and send Heart to our loved ones and to the world, I feel the love, the support and the strength of our HeartMath community. I am not alone and I know we are making a difference in the world!” - Carolyn
For humanity to learn to get along with each other, it will require more heart. Despite the seemingly unsolvable separation and polarization between people and groups that we see, there is also an amplification of the collective heart throughout the planet. More people are realizing that we are all interconnected, and we need to help each other through increasing kindness and care. The omnipresent virus, climate change and extreme weather events, and an uncertain future are waking us up to our interdependence with each other and with nature.
In this Add Heart® Podcast episode, our guest Ervin Laszlo, Ph.D, a systems scientist, Nobel Peace Prize nominee, and founder-director of the Laszlo Institute of New Paradigm Research in Italy, joins our host Deborah Rozman, Ph.D., to talk about the critical importance of this time and the essential role of the heart for the future of humanity.
Ervin talks about his systems research and the quantum field and how the heart is a transmitter of information to the world. He explains how the heart helps us feel like we are part of nature and the universe and enables us to know that all things have to work together. Ervin and Deborah inspire us with their perspectives on how we can connect more with our heart day to day, to uplift our own life experience while simultaneously adding more heart to the world.
Deborah closes the episode by leading us through a heart meditation that we can use to energize and deepen our intentions to add more heart to our world throughout the new year.

Any time we practice adding more heart to a conversation, a relationship, a situation―any aspect of life―we increase the resonance and cooperation between our heart, mind, brain, and emotions. When these powerful energies are not resonating as a team, and have opposing desires and agendas, this generates much (or most) of the pressure and stress we feel.
As the world continues to go through a lot of transition, many people can feel pressure from so much change. This can lead to cloudy thinking, indecision, and worry.
As we all practice ways, like those offered in this podcast, to intentionally add more heart into everything we do, we can create a smoother ride though life.

— Heart Intelligence, Doc Childre
Add Heart – Adding heart to whatever you do strengthens and empowers your intentions and commitment. That’s why coaches tell players to “play with heart” and “put your heart into it” – put your love and care into it. Adding heart means adding love, care, kindness, patience, appreciation or compassion as we interact with what life brings us. Hundreds of scientific studies have confirmed this has a measurable impact on physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Adding heart increases the quality of moment-to-moment awareness and bridges the connection to higher intelligence and guidance from your intuitive heart.
Forward Movement – Accessing our heart’s discernment and guidance enables us to create forward movement in personal growth. At times, when we get caught up in stress and drain energy, we can feel like we’re going backwards. As we practice putting more heart and conscious care into our interactions and keep our humility refreshed, then our forward movement quickens with more flow and less resistance.
Forward movement is created when we are committed to taking responsibility for our own energies and practice increasing our love, kindness and compassion in our interactions with others –and especially how we interact with and treat our self.
Heart-Powered Intention – The heart is the power behind higher manifestation. As you practice activating the power of your heart, it brings heart, mind and body into increased cooperation. This alignment brings in more of your spirit and higher discernment faculties—your intuition—to help facilitate the manifestation of deeper heart-felt intentions in all aspects of your life. When heart is added to your intentions, it magnetizes more effective choices and favorable outcomes.
At times, we can feel like we are missing a sense of meaning, purpose and fulfilment. Accessing more of our heart’s intelligence and inspiration and applying it in practical ways enables us to manage our energy, unfold our higher potentials, and create a more fulfilling life.
