In these 6 video sessions, you will quickly learn the science and skills of transforming stress into resilience with self-regulation by activating the power of the heart. Participants will receive a certificate for 2 CE credits upon completion.
HeartMath's definition of resilience, "The capacity to prepare for, recover from, and adapt in the face of challenge, adversity and stress," was adopted by the US Navy and integrated into healthcare systems around the world. HeartMath tools are being used by healthcare workers to recover from and better handle the unique stressors in this field.
Each video is 10–20 minutes in length, accompanied by a downloadable audio tool you can listen to while on the go or on breaks. HeartMath’s heart rate variability biofeedback technology is not required for this training, but for participants who have access to this technology, training on its application is included. Lessons are designed to care for staff across the continuum of healthcare, from environmental services to physicians, nurses, patient-facing practitioners, administrators, and all levels of leadership.
Each participant learns techniques that can be used anywhere, anytime. These skills were created from 30 years of evidence-based research at the HeartMath Institute on the intersection of emotions, heart rhythms, and the autonomic and central nervous systems. You can learn to self-regulate your physiology and emotions to save energy and build resilience, all while building a better quality of life for yourself, your patients, colleagues, and communities.
Outcomes can be measured subjectively in positive changes in affect and objectively in over 1,400 biomedical benefits. When organizations implement HeartMath tools at scale, outcomes improve, costs go down, and cultures change for the better in measurable ways.
The accumulated toll of stress can erode our capacities and alignment with who we truly are at heart. HeartMath’s simple skills, when applied consistently in micro moments throughout the day, can realign us with our core sense of purpose, value, and meaning. This shift energizes and renews us and helps us build our capacity and hope to better care for ourselves and our world in these evolving times.
