Certification · For hospitals, health systems & organizations

The Resilience Advantage™ — resilience training built for healthcare.

Healthcare staff carry a particular kind of strain, and generic well-being training rarely touches it. This certification prepares you to deliver TheResilience Advantage — a workshop already used by major hospital systems, Fortune 500 companies, and government agencies — to the people inside your organization.

The workshop

What your people will actually learn.

The Resilience Advantage teaches practical, day-to-day applications — the emotional and mental strength people need to face pressure, fatigue, and the days that don't go to plan.

  • How to build resilience that prevents strain accumulating, rather than recovering from it afterwards.
  • How to bring care, courage, focus, gratitude, dignity, and kindness into daily work.
  • How to sustain performance without the cost that usually comes with it.
  • How to stay clear-headed and steady in high-pressure moments — the ones that matter most in care settings.
  • How to meet defeat, resignation, fear, anxiety, and frustration with practical tools rather than willpower.

Flexible delivery

Deliver the full workshop, or select individual modules. Once certified, you may also incorporate the content into training programs your organization already runs.

How certification works

Three phases, ending with you actually teaching it.

Four private mentoring sessions and ten half-days of immersive training — and certification rests primarily on your teach-backs, not attendance.

1

Phase One — private mentoring

Four one-to-one virtual sessions with
a HeartMath® Certified Mentor
before the certification training
begins.

You'll get access to the HeartMath
Learning Center for study materials
and presentation videos of every
module. These sessions are required
for certification.

2

Phase Two — certification training

Online training covering how to
deliver the workshop or the modules
you choose, plus an overview and
Q&A on the HeartMath science
behind it.

Two days of teach-backs with peers
and a Teach Back Facilitator, with
customized feedback. Certification is
based primarily on these sessions.

3

Phase Three — pilot presentations

Deliver at least two practice sessions
— one to friends or family, one to a
professional group of your choosing
— then a follow-up call with your
HeartMath contact.

You'll practice in a real room before
you present to your organization.

What you receive

Everything you need to run it.

  • Resilience Advantage Trainer Notes — the full facilitation guide.
  • A participant e-guidebook for the people you train.
  • Access to the Trainer Resource website — promotional material, articles, and marketing resources.
  • PowerPoint slides, videos, and supporting material for delivery.
  • Presentation videos of every module, to study and to reference later.
Is this program for you?

The Resilience Advantage™ is a good fit if...

  • You lead training or wellness initiatives inside a hospital, health system, or organization.
  • You'd rather work through the material one-to-one with a private mentor than in a small group of peers.
  • You're bringing resilience training to your own people — staff, teams, or an entire workforce.
  • You want the backing of the HeartMath Healthcare team as you get certified.

Looking for something else? If you're an independent trainer or consultant building a practice for a variety of clients, Coherence Advantage® → is probably the better fit.

Still not sure? Tell us about your organization and we'll point you to the right one.

I went in expecting to learn the Resilience Advantage workshop, which Idid — but I came out with so much more. I came out with a deeper understanding of how important self-care is for medical professionals, and a deep passion to deliver these tools to them.

Tremendously comprehensive — from the pre-mentoring calls to the quality and quantity of content. Exceptional value and a hugely gratifying experience. The science and research give it undeniable credibility.

This is an amazing training. It's very well organized and I felt at the end like I was prepared to start training right away. Being in a room with a group of strangers who were joining in heart coherence was indescribable— it proved the lessons in a way no book or video could have.

HeartMath's Master Trainers are well trained and pick up on the subtle nuances of our presentations, fine-tuned our content, and expanded our knowledge. Conducting the teach-backs in smaller breakout groups produced a safe, intimate environment.
