Changing the Hardware Acceleration
Apr 24, 20141. Exit the Freeze-Framer software by selecting "Exit" from the file menu. If the screen has gone black or blank and you cannot access the file menu. Press the "Ctrl" "Alt" and "Delete" keys on your keyboard simultaneously. Then highlight "Freeze-Framer" and select "end task". This will close the Freeze-Framer program.
2. Right-click in an open space on your desktop.
3. Select properties from the pop-up menu.
4. Click on the "Settings" tab.
5. Click on the "Advanced" button.
6. Click on the "Troubleshoot" tab.
7. Move the hardware acceleration slider to the left one or two notches.
8. Click the "OK" button to close the Advanced Graphic Settings dialog box and then click "OK" to close the System Properties dialog box.
9. You will be prompted to restart your computer. Click "Yes" to restart.
Once the computer restarts try running the Freeze-Framer software again. If this doesn't work repeat the above process and move the hardware acceleration slider all the way to the right. In trying to resolve this problem a DirectX installation could be necessary even if you already have the latest version.Open your Freeze-Framer Installation CD, open My Computer, right-click on the Freeze-Framer CD and select Explore. Open the DirectX folder in the Support folder.
Double-click on "DX80eng.exe" to start the DirectX installation. If you have a newer version of Windows, you will need to download DirectX from Microsoft's web site, available at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/ If none of the above solutions resolve the problem you will need to update your video drivers. Please contact your computer vendor for instructions on how to do this.
